e-News Famed Italian retailer chooses Mason & Hamlin Nicola Bulgari is an M&H owner..times 2! September 04, 2009 The name Bulgari is synonymous with the highest quality luxury goods the world has to offer, including jewelry, watches, handbags and fragrances, and now, as part of a major international expansion, also hotels and resorts. Nicola Bulgari, vice chairman of the global concern, can obviously afford the best of everything.  People look to him to set trends and define style.  His devotion to fine workmanship in his own products carries over into his personal life.  When he buys a product his choice is based solely on quality, so it's no surprise that he owns Mason & Hamlin pianos.    (l to r) The Bulgari home's entryway and music room. A 2007 issue of House & Garden magazine gave readers a rare view of the Bulgari home, located outside of Rome, focusing on its art-filled entryway, garden and music room, where the décor is black and white and the centerpiece is a Mason & Hamlin Model AA  grand piano (purchased from Faust Harrison Pianos in NYC).  There are actually two Mason & Hamlin pianos in the home.  According to Sara Faust, co-owner of Faust Harrison, a Model BB resides in the Bulgari garage! No ordinary garage, of course, but the home of one of the world's greatest and most valuable antique car collections.  The piano sits on a rolling stage, which is brought to the center of the garage for concerts that Mr. Bulgari arranges.  According to Sara, the acoustics in the garage are perfect and the piano sounds sublime.  (More information about the garage is available online.)   For more information about Bulgari, see the website.
