Art Greenhaw
Grammy Award–Winning Artist, Producer, Songwriter, and Mason & Hamlin Artist

A Lifelong Musician, Grounded at the Piano
Art Greenhaw is a Grammy Award–winning artist, producer, arranger, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose musical life has always been rooted in the piano. He was part of the first class of elementary piano students selected for the inaugural Southern Methodist University Piano Preparatory Department, where he studied under the guidance of SMU’s piano faculty and later worked with master pianist Lucien Leinfelder.
That early foundation shaped a career that has spanned gospel, roots music, Western swing, production, songwriting, and music education. Through it all, the piano has remained central to Art’s work—not only as an instrument, but as the musical anchor of his voice as a performer, arranger, and producer.
Today, Art owns, records on, and performs on Mason & Hamlin pianos. Whether he is in the studio, on stage, or leading educational programs, Mason & Hamlin is his piano of choice.

A Grammy-Winning Career in American Music
Over the course of a long and wide-ranging career, Art Greenhaw has built one of the most distinctive bodies of work in gospel and American roots music. He is a Grammy Award winner and eight-time Grammy nominee whose work spans performance, songwriting, production, and arranging.
His songs have been recorded by artists including Engelbert Humperdinck, Ann-Margret, Trini Lopez, The Jordanaires, James Blackwood, and The Blackwood Brothers. As a producer and arranger, he has contributed to Grammy-winning and Grammy-nominated projects across gospel, Western swing, and roots music, helping shape recordings that honor both tradition and musicianship at the highest level.
His work has also earned recognition from across the American music world, including induction into the Texas Gospel Music Hall of Fame, recognition as a Hero of Western Swing by the Cowtown Society of Western Music, the Will Rogers Award from the Academy of Western Artists, and the Key to the City of Balch Springs, Texas.
A Mason & Hamlin Artist and Ambassador
As a performer, bandleader, educator, and recording artist, Art Greenhaw brings Mason & Hamlin into concert halls, schools, festivals, workshops, and recording sessions. His work reflects a deep commitment to American musical traditions, but also to the piano as a living, expressive instrument at the center of performance.
Art performs with The Light Crust Doughboys, the legendary Texas group recognized as Official State of Texas Music Ambassadors and Official State of Texas Touring Artists. Through his performances and educational work, he continues to introduce audiences to the depth, versatility, and expressive power of the piano—and to the voice of Mason & Hamlin within that tradition.
